SAT I – Scholastic Aptitude Test

The SAT is a 3-hour 45 Minute test that measures Writing, Verbal and Mathematical reasoning skills students have developed over time and skills they need to be successful academically. Many colleges and universities use the SAT as one indicator among others of a student's readiness to do college-level work. SAT scores are compared with the scores of other applicants, and the accepted scores at an institution, and can be used as a basis for awarding merit-based financial aid.

The New SAT is scored on a scale of 200-2400 and is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. The test is administered several times a year. For actual SAT test dates and registration deadlines, please visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/calenfees.html

Our SAT Preparation Program

With years of experience in teaching SAT, we have perfected our methods for preparing students. Students have an option of joining either our Classroom Based Format SAT Preparation or our trademark Individual Test Preparation.

Classroom Based Format

Our classroom based SAT preparation is a Two-and-a-half month course, with a total of 80 hours of classroom based lectures. We offer four weekly classes (two Math and two Verbal) and administer 6 full-length SAT tests towards the end of the course. Extra emphasis is paid to improving students' abilities in Grammar, Vocabulary and Essay Writing.

All students do a full actual SAT Diagnostic Test at the beginning of the course. Based on the scores of this Diagnostic Test, we develop a study program to allow for variances in learning ability and use it to measure each student's progress on a regular basis.

Following is a tentative time table for the commencement dates of the SAT classes:

SAT Test Date
Course Commencement Date
October 1st week of July
November 1st week of August
December 1st week of September
January Mid-October / 1st week of November

Individual Test Preparation Format

Students appearing for the SAT in May or June or those with specific requirements may join our individual test preparation. This preparation is based on a unique preparation time-table (referred to as the PCR) prepared for each student keeping in mind his/her individual requirements.

Each student starting the SAT preparation is required to appear in a full-length actual SAT Diagnostic Test. The weighted scores of this test determine the time to be given to each study module. Thus, for instance, a student scoring high on the Mathematics section will have to spend less time in attaining a high score. However, if his/her Critical Reading or Writing diagnostic score is low, the program will allow more time on these modules.

Classes are held thrice a week, and the recommended time period is three-months, providing students with approx 80 hours of preparation time in addition to 6 full-length SAT tests administered towards the end of the course. If a student is free of commitments and can study 5-6 hours a day in addition to the classes, or if a student is very quick in picking up, the preparation time can be reduced to 2 months, or 1 ½ months with double-shift study.

Our Teaching Methods
Our tutors are equipped with the most modern and student-friendly techniques of teaching Mathematics and English. The class environment is conducive to effective learning where students learn to interact with and benefit from each other. Both preparation formats are followed up with regular weekly testing.

Our materials have been chosen from the best sources in the world, and we are able to provide students with extra materials for any section that they may be relatively weak at.

We also assist students in registering for the SAT and if need be, guide them on filling college applications.

Our SAT Classes are offered at all three branches (DHA Phase 4, Gulshan and North Nazimabad).
