About
Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture
The Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture was founded
in 1989 by a group of professional architects, designers
and artists who believed that Karachi was in critical
need of a school of excellence encompassing the disciplines
of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.
The Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture is dedicated
to much more than producing technically competent artists,
designers and architects. It strives to motivate and guide
students to think, be curious, to keep themselves open
to sources of experience and learning, to be politically
aware and socially responsive and take an independent
position, respecting knowledge and people of knowledge,
with humility.

Teaching
Methodology
At Anees Hussain we emphasize on making learning enjoyable
and art is something that cannot be taught in a constrained
environment, therefore our art classes are conducted in
an environment conducive towards freedom of thought and
creativity. Contrary to popular belief, Art can very well
be taught in the classroom. Our teachers encourage the
students to develop a thinking process and to gain expertise
over the basics of drawing, enabling anyone who aspires
to go to IVSAA to get a fair chance in the test.
Unlike other test individuals preparing students for the
IVSAA test, we at Anees Hussain offer a comprehensive
preparation for entire test, covering all sections of
the test. Furthermore, we also prepare the students for
the interview, which means that our students are the best
prepared.
Our program not only offers a comprehensive preparation
for the aptitude test, covering all sections namely Math,
English, IQ and General Knowledge, but also extensive
interview preparation, which means that our students are
the best prepared. Salient

Full-length Tests Material
New and up-to-date course material has been developed
by our team of teachers especially for the course of Indus
Valley. Our expertise in test preparation is facilitated
by the years of hard work put into our study material.
It has been selected and compiled from a variety of sources,
including work sheets developed on each subject by Anees
Hussain himself, regular up-to-date books from the different
publishers and re-creations of the actual tests themselves.
About the Test
The Indus Valley test is one of the longest and most tedious
aptitude test. It may contain a variety of sections testing
the student on all grounds from General Knowledge, Logic
(IQ), Math, English, Creativity, Design and Drawing. The
test takers are interested in checking not only the drawing
capabilities but the thinking process of the applicants;
still life drawing is just one part of the test.
Success Rate
In 2009, 80% of our students successfully cleared the
Indus Valley Test and most of the successful candidates
cleared the interview.
